Holmes appointed to AISL Board

Melinda Holmes, Darlington’s director of library services, has been appointed a member-at-large of the Association of Independent School Librarians Board of Directors. She will sit on the board indefinitely.
“It is a great honor to be asked by a group of librarians from across the nation to join the Board of Directors even though I am fairly new to AISL,” Holmes said. “As a board member, I hope to establish connections with other independent school librarians and to promote the exciting changes taking place in our libraries here at Darlington."
Holmes has been a member of Darlington’s faculty since 2006. She holds a B.S. from James Madison University (Va.) and a M.S. from Longwood University (Va.) She also serves as program coordinator for Georgia Independent School Librarians (GISL).
