What better way to culminate a history study than with a field trip that includes a group photo with Georgia Governor Perdue? That is exactly what the fourth grade classes did when they went to the Georgia State Capitol. After completing a study of the southeastern states and Georgia history, the Lower School students continued their study as they learned how bills become laws and saw, firsthand, government at work. Senator Preston Smith gave them a tour of the senate and explained the voting process. Rome representatives Buddy Childers and Barbara Massey Reese also met the group.
