Guess who’s coming to dinner? Griffeth girls, that’s who

Dining hall food at Darlington is pretty good, as food served cafeteria-style goes, but nothing beats a home-cooked meal or even pizza delivery to a home, for that matter. The extra ingredient regardless of the food served is the quality of the time spent together in a family. This Thursday, Griffeth House girls will have the opportunity to enjoy family time together, as nine Darlington families welcome them into their homes for dinner.

“We want to give day and boarding girls as chance to get to know each other better,” Lindsay Doss, head day prefect, said. Each home will host about a half dozen girls for dinner at 6 p.m., this Thursday, Sept. 5.

Nine host families have volunteered so far. A third freshman group will still be formed.
