Grizzard named September Student of the Month

Outstanding academic achievement has won senior Emily Grizzard the honor of being named Noon Optimist Student of the Month for September.

Grizzard currently ranks eighth in the class of 122. Over her high school career, she has taken 11 AP and Honors courses and studied abroad in Costa Rica and Spain. She has received the AP Scholar Award and the E.L. Wright Award for AP Spanish Language. She is also a member of the Sociedad Honoraria Nacional de El Coronel, Spanish Club, Psychology Club, Darlington Music Aficionados Club, The Inkslinger staff and also takes dance and art outside of school.

The daughter of Joen and Bob Grizzard, Emily was honored at an Optimist Club luncheon on Sept 27.
