Golfers eye state title

The boys golf team is ready to make another run at another state title. After finishing third in the state tournament last year just one stroke out of second, this year’s team is set to build on that experience.
Still a young squad with no senior members, all of last year’s team members who scored in the state tournament have returned this year. Juniors David Hoyt, Sanders Wallis, Drew Davis, and Ben Burch anchor the team with sophomores Patrick McShane, David Davidson, Brian Miller, and Payton Bradford for added support. Bringing strong middle school soccer experience to the team are freshmen Collin Doss, Jackson Harris, Elliot Harrison, and Colin Niblett.
The team is hopeful for a first victory against archrival Calhoun on Tuesday, March 11.
