As the 2002 golf season approaches, the teams are practicing their skills and the Lady Tigers are ready to defend their state championship inaugural season. Sophomore Amanda McElroy will join returning champions Jenny Morris and Mary Beth Monk, both sophomores, as they head to the links. “The expectations are high for this proven group of winners,” said boys varsity golf head coach Murray.

The boys golf team received a great influx of new, young talent and are confident that they will qualify for the state championship this year. The Tigers are anxious for the season to start as they are led by returning seniors Andy Gates, Tom Arnold, sophomores Drew Davis, Sanders Wallis, David Hoyt, Ben Burch, and freshman Patrick McShane. “The links will be crowded with talent as veteran golfers seniors Frank Haslbauer and Sergio Celasco, and freshmen Brian Miller, Grant Miller, Payton Bradford, and David Davidson, intend to make their mark on this year's team,” said Murray.
