The girls cross country team is enthusiastic about its current undefeated record in single A competition. In their latest meet, the girls emerged victorious, after a neck-and-neck competition against Northwest Whitfield at the Ridge Ferry Invitational, Thursday, Sept. 23, at Ridge Ferry Park. Leading the pack this season are seniors Ana Monroe Fitzner and Katie Van Es.
After losing five top-five runners from last year’s team, the boys cross country team is experiencing a season of growth. “The team is young. There are some very strong runners, and I see young leadership stepping up,” head coach Rob Davis said. The team is led by juniors Stephen Smith and Eli Montgomery. The boys cross country team came in fifth out of 21 teams competing at the Ridge Ferry Invitational, Thursday, Sept. 23.
