Gingerbread man becomes world traveler, teaches geography lessons

After reading the story of the Gingerbread man, pre-kindergarteners baked their own gingerbread men then something seemingly magical happened: when the children went to get their teachers' cookie out of the oven, they discovered that the Gingerbread man was gone. There was a note left in the place of the cookie that explained that the Gingerbread man had left to see the world.

Since this incident, the class has received many postcards from all over the world from either the Gingerbread man or from family and friends who have spotted the Gingerbread man in various parts of the world. The class is recording on a world map all the places he has visited including Zimbabwe, China, London, Paris, Singapore and many places in the United States.
