Gammon named September Student of the Month

Senior Winston Gammon has been named Noon Optimist Student of the Month for September.
A day student, Gammon has attended Darlington since fifth grade. He is a member of the National Honor Society, president of the Random Notes all-male a cappella group, vice president of the Concert Choir, and a lineman on the varsity football team.
"Winston is constantly involved in different parts of the school," said one of Gammon's coaches. "He is a young man that always brings a great attitude to whatever he is doing. He is someone that gets along with everyone he comes across and makes them feel welcomed."
The son of Wright Gammon of Cedartown, Ga., and Alicia Gammon of Rome, Winston was honored at an Optimist Club luncheon on Sept. 14.
