Our Grand Special Day and Spring Concert were a huge success thanks to teamwork and cooperation of everyone involved, including the weather!

Many thanks to our Tiger Pride moms, in particular, Stacy and Keesjan Albers, Kathleen Hughes, and Wendy Shaw for their support and creativity in decorating the stage. Special thanks to our very talented fine arts staff – Annie Camp, Will Camp, Ashley Henry and Jennifer Moore – for their hard work in putting together a great program for our guests and parents; Leigh Ann Anderson for accompanying on the piano; Patricia Ayer for designing the program, invitations and welcome signs; DeLean Brandon and Lea Duncan for putting together the gift bags for our guests; Suzanne Davidson for handling all other details and faculty members Patricia Ayer, Ashley Evans, Renee Hutchins and Jennifer Moore for helping serve at the hospitality tables. And of course, no event at the Lower School could be accomplished without Jim Daniels and Richard Hightower, who always go beyond the call of duty. They started two weeks ago to get the campus looking like spring for our guests. It was a beautiful day for our grandparents, parents and special guests who appreciated all of the hard work from everyone involved – faculty, staff and students.

Please mark your calendars for Easter break, which begins Friday afternoon at 11:45 a.m. (early dismissal). Classes will resume Tuesday, April 26. On behalf of the faculty and staff, we wish everyone a very happy Easter break.

Also, mark your calendars for Muffins for Moms on Friday, May 6, from 7:45 to 8:45 a.m. This event celebrates and thanks our moms for all they do. If a child’s mom is not available for this event, grandparents, relatives or special friends are welcome to attend.

Achievement testing continues this week for our third-grade students. The only preparation needed include a good night’s sleep and a good breakfast. Please be sure your child is on time for school as testing takes place first thing in the morning.
