From the Desk of the Lower School Director - 14

The Boosterthon Fun Run went off without a hitch on Friday! Thank you to everyone who came out to support the children, not only with your cheering, but also with your generosity.

We want to give a special thanks to our fabulous Boosterthon Team, a group of very enthusiastic leaders: Jason Hood, Eric Cho, Jonathan Clark, Ronnel Blackmon and Josiah Deegan. They did an awesome job encouraging our students to complete their 25 to 35 laps around Little Tiger Field. We also thank Lou Dempsey and Tim Morgan for bringing over the inflatable Darlington Tiger for the students to run through. They really enjoyed this opportunity since it is normally reserved for the Darlington football team! 

Our music teacher Ashley Henry did a beautiful job singing the "Star Spangled Banner" a cappella to open the event. Please note that all pledges are due on or before Nov. 18. Again, we thank the Darlington School community for their tremendous support.

Zegie Hillard, counselor at McHenry Primary School, sends a heartfelt thanks to our families for their generosity and support of our annual Warm Clothing Drive. Items collected included jackets, coats, sweaters and shoes.

 

Please remember that Friday, Nov. 19, is an early dismissal day. On behalf of the Lower School faculty and staff, I wish all of you a very happy Thanksgiving as you celebrate with your family and friends. We hope everyone enjoys a safe and restful break. School will resume on Tuesday, Nov. 30.
