Jason Hood, team leader for Boosterthon, thanks all of our families for supporting the upcoming Fun Run scheduled for Friday, Nov. 12, at 10:30 a.m. on Little Tiger Field.The students have been logging on daily and adding many pledges.
The Boosterthon team is here every day from 7:30 a.m. to 3 p.m. They are promoting the following character education concepts in their Leader Launch Program: learners, active, uplifting, not bullies, courageous and helpers. The team includes Jason Hood, Eric Cho, Jonathan Clark and Ronnel Blackmon, all of whom are assisting the teachers with the day-to-day routine in the classrooms.
Tiger Pride also thanks all of our families for their support and appreciates any pledge amount or donation. Every child at the Lower School will participate in the Fun Run and will receive a T-shirt for the run on Friday. Parents are encouraged to come out for this event and cheer them on!
This Friday will be the last day to drop off donations for the Warm Clothing Drive that benefits McHenry Primary School. We thank you for your help with this annual outreach project.
Our Thanksgiving Feast is scheduled for Wednesday, Nov. 17. If you are planning to attend, tickets must be purchased by Nov. 12. Lunch tickets are $4. Please see Suzanne in the front office.
Please mark your calendars for Dec. 3. Representatives from Toys for Tots will be on campus at 10:30 a.m. to collect wrapped gifts for donation. Our families have participated in this service project for over 20 years.
Late Start is running very smoothly. We thank all of our parent volunteers for their support as they give the teachers the opportunity to meet before school on a weekly basis.
Parents are asked to check that your children are bringing home their own outerwear (sweaters, sweatshirts, etc.) Some families are missing items. Having clothing items labeled with your child’s name is very helpful.
Special thanks to Jill Pate for organizing the Red Ribbon Week activities. Thanks to your generosity, we were able to donate over 10 boxes of canned goods to the Rome Action Ministries. Catherine Freeman from this organization sends heartfelt thanks to our families for their generosity.
