French Teacher Becomes French Traveler

Through the generosity of the Darlington Parents Association's faculty grant program, Randa Mixon, foreign language department chair was able to study in France for 18 days this summer. Mixon was immersed in an intensive and entertaining course for French teachers –– learning more than the language. Through tours, special meals, lectures, and witnessing events, Mixon learned much about the culture, justice system, and society, as well as stronger skills in teaching language.
