French students rank top 10 in national exam

Lauren Dean, daughter of Linda and Darrell Dean, Rome, Ga., and Clark McGehee, son of Cindy and Rob McGehee, Rome, Ga., both freshmen at Darlington, ranked in the top 10 Georgia students in Level 1 of LeGrand Concours, a nationally competitive foreign language exam.
The exam is administered in the spring each year to all levels of French students. The students were recognized for their success with a plaque. “I am very proud of these students,” Darlington School French instructor Charlotte Saxon said. “To rank in the top 10 in the state on a nationally administered exam is impressive.”
