Fourth-graders have the honor at the Lower School of raising and lowering the American flag each day. Students learn the symbolism of each fold, and during one morning, they gathered around the flagpole to watch Jim Daniels, Lower School maintenance supervisor, demonstrate the correct folding procedure. This is the third year fourth-grade classes have been responsible for flag duty. Each day, students choose a partner and the pairs rotate the daily task.
