Fourth-grader wins Spelling Bee

After a very intense six rounds of competition, fourth-grader Andy Brunt won the Lower School Spelling Bee on Feb. 3 by correctly spelling the word "thespian." Forty students in grades 3-5 competed.

Others placing in the competition included Travis Black in second place, Bailey Kozlowski in third and Harsh Patel in fourth. All students are in fourth grade.

Three students from each grade will compete in the Independent School Spelling Bee, hosted by St. Mary’s Catholic School on March 3.
