Four named to All-Region Baseball Team

Four members of the varsity baseball team earned All-Region honors, with Cole Miller ('12) selected as Player of the Year and head coach Kent Harrison ('01) as Coach of the Year.
Cole Miller, a rising senior, was named to the region team as a hitter and earned the title of Player of the Year for Region 6-A. This season, he had a batting average of 434 and an RBI of 37. He set the state and school records for base on balls (BB) with 44 as well as the school record for home runs in a season with 14. He also racked up nine doubles and 15 stolen bases. He is the son of Lynda and Doug Miller of Cave Spring, Ga.
Brad Butler, a rising junior, was named to the region team as a hitter. This season, he had a batting average of 515 and an RBI of 13. He had 49 hits, two home runs, four doubles and set a school record for stolen basis with 16. He is the son of Lisa and Rhett Butler of Rome.
Lee Couch ('11) was named to the region team as a hitter. This season, he had a batting average of 471 and set school records for hits with 50 and triples with 5. He also had nine doubles, four home runs and 15 stolen bases. He is the son of Chrisy Couch of Cedartown, Ga., and Tony Couch, also of Cedartown.
Jack Stevens ('11) was named to the region team as a pitcher. This season, he pitched 49 innings and four complete games with nine wins and no losses. He had an ERA of 2.67 and 53 strike outs. He is the son of Laura and Dr. Jay Stevens of Kingston, Ga.
