Four named to All-Area Volleyball Team

Four members of the varsity volleyball team received Rome News-Tribune All-Area honors in November.
Bailey Brock, a sophomore, excelled this season as a setter and helped lead the Lady Tigers to the state tournament. She is the daughter of Dawn and Harry Brock of Rome.
Calley Craton, a senior, has played almost every position in her career, but found a home this season as libero. She is the daughter of Susan and Charles Craton of Rome.
Sammi Harton, a freshman, emerged as a key player due to her expertise as an outside hitter and defensive specialist. She is the daughter of Susie and Butch Harton of Cartersville, Ga.
Carrie Simon, a junior, was one of Darlington's primary weapons at the net during the Lady Tigers' run to the Class A Sweet 16. She was MVP for the Lady Tigers this year and was also the only member of the team to be named to the 6A-AA All-Tournament Team. She also plays club volleyball with the Cobb-Atlanta 17A team. Carrie is the daughter of Sha' and Dan Simon of Rome.
