With drills, training, and summer camps and practice starting soon, Tiger football has hardly taken a deep, cleansing breath after last season’s work before getting underway again.

First up is the annual Purple/White Football Game on Friday, May at 7 p.m. The football team will be conducting spring drills on Monday, May 3 in anticipation of the game. The team will also participate in an Advanced Rehab Strength and Speed Combine, which Darlington will host on Saturday, May 8.

This summer, Darlington will offer a 7 on 7 Passing Camp, July 11-13. Fifteen high school teams will stay at Darlington for three days.

Summer football practice opens July 19. The team will travel to Dahlonega, Ga., to attend camp at R Ranch in the Mountains for a week.

The Tigers first pre-season scrimmage is set for Aug. 6 at Darlington against Trion High School and the second pres-season scrimmage is Aug. 13 at Hiram High School. The season opener is at Chattooga County High School on Aug. 20.

It’s almost time to cheer for the Tigers again!
