Floyd Recognizes Recycling Efforts

Darlington School was recognized by the Rome/Floyd County Recycling Center as having one of the top three new recycling programs in Rome and Floyd County during a luncheon at the Rome-Floyd County Regional Library, Nov. 15.
According to Norris Allen, ARAMARK special events coordinator, who received the award for the School, Darlington was chosen for having an outstanding commitment to recycling and for involving the entire Darlington family in the project.
Since the program’s inception in September the School is averaging collecting approximately 1000 pounds of aluminum, plastic, paper, and newspaper.
The Rome-Floyd Library and Telephone Pioneers were also given this distinction
