Floyd Performs State Band; Gives Solo

Junior Phillip Floyd performed with the 2001 Georgia All-State Jazz Band at the Georgia Music Educators Association conference in Savannah, Ga., Jan. 25-27. After two days of intensive rehearsals, the band performed for the conference attendees, including Choral Director Dan Bishop, instrumental music instructor, Bill King, and Lower School music and drama teacher Diane Lumpkin. Floyd performed two solos with the band and was one of only two alto saxophonists in the band from the entire state.
