Five students pass Georgia All-State band audition

For the first time in Darlington history, five students have earned the honor of going to Finals for All-State Band. Freshmen Beau Griffith, Kim King, Dennis Kim, and Jonathan Lane, and senior Jason Chapman auditioned for, and passed the District level audition for the 2002 All State Band, on Jan. 10.
For the past four years Darlington has had two or less representatives from the band to reach the final level of auditions for All State Band. The band representatives will move on to audition in Houston County on Feb. 9. Upon passing the final level of auditions they will become members of the High School All-State Band with which they will perform in Savannah, Ga., on May 4.
