Five earn All-Region basketball honors, Stewart named Player of the Year

Five varsity basketball players have been named to All-Region teams with junior Terar Stewart earning Region 6-A Player of the Year honors.
Stewart, who was named to the All-Region First Team, has been a central figure this season in helping the Lady Tigers post a 23-3 record, including going 12-0 in subregion play and capturing the 6-A North regular-season title. She is the daughter of Nikki Watkins and Andre Stewart of Summerville, Ga.
Maggie Beth Atha, a sophomore, was named to the All-Region First Team. She is the daughter of Cathe and Tommy Atha of Rome.
Lindsay Evans, a senior, was named to the All-Region First Team. She is the daughter of Candi and Kevin Evans of Rome.
Sidney Stout, a junior, was named to the All-Region Second Team. She is the daughter of Susan and Dwight Stout of Rome.
Cam Collins, a senior, was named to the All-Region First Team. He is the son of Rozanne and Forrest Collins of Calhoun, Ga.
An Honorable Mention went to junior Bailey Brock, the daughter of Dawn and Harry Brock of Rome, Ga.
