The Fine Arts program and the development office are joining forces this year to bring a taste of Darlington to alumni gatherings around the Southeast. Various groups within the department will have traveled to four locations by the school year’s end.
The entire chorus performed for alumni at a gathering in Nashville, Tenn., on Oct. 15. Chorus members visited the Country Music Hall of Fame and had lunch at the Wildhorse Saloon, where they enjoyed a group line-dancing lesson. The steel drum band traveled to Birmingham, Ala., on Oct. 24, to entertain alumni there.
Future travel plans include trips by the girls chorale for a gathering in Jacksonville, Fla., and by the musical theater class for a gathering of Atlanta alumni.
