Darlington's ideal to have a close-knit community is more than a dream. A Darlington education is often a tradition. This year's blend of families sending their children to the Lower School illustrates the strong family-like connections. Darlington Lower School principal’s son, Marcus Tayloe, is now a pre-kindergarten while former Principal Larry Muschamp's grandson, Jordan, is now a kindergartener, continuing his family’s Darlington tradition. Eight children of new faculty and at least 17 offspring of Darlington alumni are currently attending the Lower School, along with children whose parents are former students of Tayloe.
