There is something special about Darlington in the fall. Not one particular thing, but the mix of the change in season with the flurry of activity that goes on at our campus each and every afternoon. Hearing music and play rehearsals near the Zelle Fine Arts Building while, at the same time, hearing whistles blowing at athletic practices across the street - there is just nothing like it!

Fall, for those of us in fine arts, has has to be the busiest time of the year. Stadium Band, play rehearsals, art shows, dance team practices, auditions for the winter musical and Fall for the Arts preparations keep us hopping during the month of September. As a result, we can’t wait for next Friday, Oct. 7!

This year's Fall for the Arts Festival, which will take place next Friday from noon to 4 p.m. in the Middle School Courtyard, is sure to be a great day to showcase the wonderful talent and enthusiasm that our students have for the arts. Please stay tuned over the next seven days as we count down to the festival. A performance schedule will soon be posted on the Announcements page as will opportunities for you to participate in and help with this great event. See you next Friday!
