Fall for the Arts schedule

Darlington's Lower, Middle and Upper Schools will celebrate Fall for the Arts during the month of October. The following events have been scheduled:



Oct. 3-7: Open Class Week in Drama, 4th period in Zelle Drama Room; Tie-dye at the Middle School



Oct. 5: The Biscuit Burners present Appalachian Roots Music Schools Program to Lower, Middle and Upper Schools



Oct. 6: Visiting Artist Vince Pisani (Drama/Musical Theater Classes), Zelle Drama Room, 11:25 a.m.



Oct. 10-14: Open Class Week in Studio Art, all periods in the Art Studio



Oct. 10-11, 13-14: Visiting Artist Janda Canalis, all periods in the Art Studio



Oct. 16: Music Around the World at Darlington, Morris Chapel, 4 p.m.



Oct. 17-21: Open Class Week in Music

2nd period - Steel Drums

1st & 7th periods - Wind Ensemble

2nd, 3rd & 6th periods - Choral Music




Oct. 18: 4th and 5th grade field trip to The Forum to view State of Georgia art collection, 12:45 p.m.



Oct. 19: Megaphone Man performance, Morris Chapel, 11 a.m.



Oct. 25-28: Open Class Week in Creative Writing, 5th period in Porter 7



Oct. 25: Visiting Artist Rob Seals (poetry/song writing/performance)

11:35 a.m. - Drama/Musical Theater Class, Zelle Drama Room

12:25 p.m. - Creative Writing Class, Zelle Drama Room




Oct. 26: Visiting Artist Kate Breytspraak (singer/master classes/voice classes), location TBA, all day



Oct. 28: Bleuel Duo performance, location TBA, during all lunch periods
