Darlington’s faculty and staff have made annual fund history, again. After reaching 100 percent participation in supporting this year’s annual fund drive, some went the extra mile and volunteered for the first Faculty/Staff Phonathon in early January.

Eight faculty and staff volunteers called on former students to encourage their participation in the 2002-03 Ramsay Potts ’34 Annual Fund. Their efforts garnered 27 commitments to the Annual Fund for a total of $1,400 in cash pledges, $50 in a credit card gift, and five open commitments.

The Annual Fund currently stands at $982,000 in cash, gifts, and pledges, leaving $368,000 needed to meet the Annual Fund goal of $1,350,000 by June 30. The Annual Fund makes up the difference between the cost of educating a Darlington student and tuition and endowment income. "Gifts to the Annual Fund transform a great college preparatory education into the outstanding experience for which Darlington is known," Charlotte Smith, Annual Fund gift officer, said.

“Darlington is grateful to those who have made vital commitments to the School’s mission by supporting the 2002-03 Ramsay Potts ’34 Annual Fund,” said Smith.
