Evans named Student of the Month for September

Outstanding academic achievement has won senior A.J. Evans the honor of being named Noon Optimist Student of the Month for September.
Evans has a GPA of 96.6 with 10 honors and 7 AP credits. While at Darlington, he has been a member of the House Senate, Student Support Team, D-Club and Math Team. He also serves as the co-president of FCA, head day prefect for Moser House, and served last year as an admission liaison. He is a member of Boy Scouts of America, where he is an Eagle Scout and Chaplain.
Evans has also played varsity football and lacrosse for four years, and currently serves as captain of the football team. He was named Defensive Player of the Year in lacrosse as a junior and a senior.
Evans was honored Monday, Sept. 25 by Noon Optimist Club. He is the son of Eddie and Faye Evans of Rome.
