Eulogies for Gov. S. Ernest Vandiver Jr. ('36)

In February, Darlington School was saddened by the passing of one of its most distinguished alumni, Gov. Samuel Ernest Vandiver Jr. (’36) of Lavonia, Ga., the state’s 73rd governor. Vandiver, 86, had been associated with the School for three quarters of its 100-year history, most recently serving as honorary chairman of the School’s Centennial Celebration.
