Professional etiquette consultant Lou Ella Hobgood, mother of eighth-grader Mary Nevin, gave a presentation on personal manners to members of the Lower School during their first assembly.

During the presentation, Hobgood suggested that students conduct themselves as either guests or hosts, and then taught them proper introductions. They were each challenged to choose a secret person (not necessarily a favorite person) and treat that individual as a guest for a day.

Positive differences in attitude, respectfulness, and manners have been witnessed across the campus, Principal Mark Tayloe says.
