England receives dose of Darlington

Parents, friends, faculty along with students explore the streets and outskirts of London during Darlington’s established spring break trip to England. As is tradition, Sam Moss, dean of studies and college guidance, headed the adventure that led them to a plethora of sight-seeing opportunities including Warwick Castle, Westminster Abbey, Stratford-Upon-Avon, the Roman baths, the Tower of London, to see the changing of the guards and the crown jewels, and to visit the British Museum, National gallery, and Courtauld Gallery.
Students included eighth-grader Kristin Kountz; freshmen Mary Sue Barron, Erin Euler, Jenny Morris, and Austin Rieley; sophomores Hannah Betts, Alice Griffin, Paul Kountz, and Sarah Mooney; juniors Emily Griffin and Matt Kleist; and seniors Caroline Dasher and Key Pinyawat. Parents joining in were Bill and Janet Byington, Paul and Judy Kountz, and David Kleist. Faculty members were Sue Goldberg, Cheryl Matthews and husband Walter Matthews, Jill Pate, and their fearless leaders Sam Moss and Kathy O’Mara.
