Spaces are filling quickly for Darlington Summer Camps as the deadline for the early bird discount approaches. Campers who register by March 1 will receive a five percent discount.

“The caliber and quality of the camps this year is unmatchable, and we are bringing in some of the best instructors from all over the country,” said Ballard Betz, director of summer programs. “We want people to see that there is so much to take advantage of at Darlington.”

Darlington Summer Camps is constantly seeking to support the school’s mission of developing students with character. This is accomplished through applying the camper’s talents, developing friendships, building confidence and identifying individual needs, according to Betz.

“My three children have all gone to camp because Darlington offers everything,” said Holly Burch of Rome, Ga. “Darlington’s camps focus on the things that are really important. They make the kids feel good about themselves, while respecting and fostering individuality.”

Judy Beecham (’77) of Roswell, Ga., has sent her children to Darlington Summer Camps for the past two years and plans to continue the trend. “It is something that they talk about all year long,” she said. “The attention they receive from the counselors is unmatchable, and the camps exemplify the Darlington experience.”
