Development Office makes staff changes for the new year

Pam Morgan has been named development officer. Her responsibilities now include major gift and annual fund calls in addition to prospect research and management in support of the School’s comprehensive long-term campus plan. She has 13 years of development experience with Darlington, most recently coordinating prospect management and working with the committee on trustees.
Charlotte Smith has joined the development office as annual fund gift officer. Her responsibilities within the department are for the cultivation, solicitation, and stewardship of donors. As annual fund gift officer, Smith drives the Annual Fund campaign.
Smith came to Darlington from Stetson University, Deland, Fla. where she was an admission counselor. She earned a bachelor’s degree from Macalester College, St. Paul, Minn., and graduated from Baylor School, Chattanooga, Tenn.
Chip Audett has joined the development office as capital gifts officer. Audett comes to Darlington from The Lexington School, Lexington, Ky., where he was director of admission and external communications. Audett earned a bachelor’s degree in economics and French from Middlebury College, Middlebury, Vt.
Gloria Eberhart has been named events coordinator for the development office. She will be coordinating efforts for all external alumni events such as Homecoming, Alumni Reunion, regional gatherings, and Career Day.
Eberhart joined Darlington in 1967 as secretary to then president R. M. Yankee. In 1970 she assisted Dan Hanks Sr. to produce Darlington’s first alumni directory. She has served as alumni secretary, alumni director, annual fund director, development office manager, administrative assistant to the vice president for development, annual fund coordinator, and database manager.
Lauren G. Ledbetter has joined the development office as the alumni officer.
Ledbetter has worked for Colonial Pipeline Company, Alpharetta, Ga., as a decision support analyst and at PricewaterhouseCoopers LLP, Atlanta, as a senior associate. She received her bachelor’s degree in economics from Washington & Lee University in Lexington, Va.
Ledbetter lives in Cartersville with her husband David Ledbetter ’88.
