Day #SeniorSpotlight: Stephanie Hughes

In this #SeniorSpotlight, get to know Stephanie Hughes, a 13-year day student from Rome who serves as head day prefect of Cooper House.                     
                
When you think of Darlington, what three words come to mind first?
Honor Above Everything

What's your favorite show to binge watch?     
“Brooklyn Nine-Nine” right now but honestly, any basic sitcom. 

What house are you a member of?     
Cooper House    

What are you involved in at Darlington?
Head day prefect of Cooper House, Tiger Expert, Senior Ventures

What's your favorite place on campus and why?    
I like the library because it's the main place I've been spending time with my friends since I was a freshman, and some of my favorite memories were made there.    

Who's your favorite teacher and why?  
I've had so many but Mrs. Kinney and Mrs. Luitwieler are my all-time favorites because they've always been so compassionate towards me.    

What's your favorite thing about Darlington?    
I love how common it is for students to have a genuine connection with a teacher/faculty member.    

Describe an experience that you've had at Darlington that you couldn't have had anywhere else.     
The Physics Boat Race was pretty unique, even though it was maybe not the most fun I've ever had.    

What are some of the ways you've grown since you first came to Darlington?     
Aside from my height, I've become more confident and I've learned how to live a more balanced life.    

Where do you want to go to college and what is your dream job?    
I want to go to either UGA or Auburn, and I'm not really sure what my dream job is.
