Day #SeniorSpotlight: Olivia Laughridge

Let’s get to know Olivia Laughridge, a 10-year day student from Rome that hopes to one day become an international lawyer.                
                
When you think of Darlington, what three words come to mind first?    
Brantley, Drummond, Evans

What song reminds you of high school?     
“Vienna” by Billy Joel    

What's your favorite show to binge watch?     
“Family Guy” 

What's your favorite restaurant in Rome?     
Aventine or Starbucks

What house are you a member of?     
Cooper

What are you involved in at Darlington?
Swimming, track and field, Tiger Experts, and freshman year I participated in the fall play and winter musical

If you play sports, who is your favorite coach and why?    
My favorite coach is Coach Hadaway because she always pushes me inside and outside of the pool.         

What's your favorite place on campus and why?    
I like the library because not only is it a social place to hang out with my friends, it's also somewhere that I can knock out all my work.

Who's your favorite teacher and why? 
My favorite teacher is Mr. Clark because he is someone I can talk to about problems inside and outside of school. He is also just really funny!    

What’s your favorite thing about Darlington?    
My favorite thing about Darlington is probably the friends I have created and the multiple opportunities given to me to step outside my comfort zone.

Describe an experience that you've had at Darlington that you couldn't have had anywhere else.     
Probably the ability to form friendships with people from all over the world.

What are some of the ways you've grown since you first came to Darlington?    
I have grown as a student, athlete, and in maturity. Obviously, I have grown a LOT since second grade.    

What is your dream job?    
An international lawyer
