Let’s get to know Liam Norton, an eight-year day student from Rome who plays football and baseball.
When you think of Darlington, what three words come to mind first?
Proud, global, community
What song reminds you of high school?
“Wash it All Away” by Five Finger Death Punch
What's your favorite show to binge watch?
“West Wing”
What's your favorite restaurant in Rome?
Aventine
What house are you a member of?
Moser
What are you involved in at Darlington?
Baseball and football
If you play sports, who is your favorite coach and why?
Coach Larry because he provided a fun environment and treated us as if we knew some part of how to play baseball.
What's your favorite place on campus and why?
The baseball locker room because there is nowhere else that provides as much entertainment with leaving your seat.
Who's your favorite teacher and why?
Mr. McDurmon because he fostered debate in a unique learning style in U.S. History. Also, Mr. Marshall helped expand my ability to write and think critically about English Literature.
What’s your favorite thing about Darlington?
The challenging curriculum and the variety of classes offered.
Describe an experience that you've had at Darlington that you couldn't have had anywhere else.
Phenomenal educational experience with Upper School students from around the world.
What are some of the ways you've grown since you first came to Darlington?
Darlington's diversity of students, classes, and faculty helped me mature into the person I've become today.
What is your dream job?
Ambassador to Ireland
