In this #SeniorSpotlight get to know Katie Carlton, a day student from Rome since kindergarten and member of the varsity tennis team.
What's your favorite show to binge on Netflix?
“One Tree Hill”
What house are you a member of?
Regester House
What are you involved in at Darlington?
I have been on the varsity tennis team for four years. I am also a Tiger Expert and member of the Green Team.
If you play sports, who is your favorite coach and why?
Mr. Owens is my favorite coach because he really gets himself involved in tennis and pushes us to do our best.
What's your favorite place on campus and why?
The lake is my favorite place because it is relaxing and a good place to take a walk and enjoy the scenery.
Who's your favorite teacher and why?
My favorite teacher is Mrs. King because she always comes to class positive and really cares about her students.
What's your favorite thing about Darlington?
The campus
Describe an experience that you've had at Darlington that you couldn't have had anywhere else.
RUMPUS because not many schools have a boarding program or a unique event like RUMPUS, our weekend-long competition between the dorms.
What are some of the ways you've grown since you first came to Darlington?
I have grown to work well with my teammates and have gotten out of my comfort zone.
Where do you want to go to college and what is your dream job?
I want to go to UGA and my dream job is a real estate agent.
