Day #SeniorSpotlight: Grey Fricks
By Maddie Chastain - Faculty
A Darlington student is made up of many things. None of which is average. We help our students develop their interests, passions and pursuits, because we believe every individual has something to contribute. We also believe that only when you're 100% you, are you 100% Darlington.
Here at Darlington, every student’s path is different. We think that's a good thing.
Let’s get to know Grey Fricks, a three-year day student from Rome who plays baseball and football.

If you play sports, who is your favorite coach and why?
Coach Atha is my favorite coach because he TRULY cares about your well-being. It was an absolute culture shock coming from Rome and interacting with Coach Atha because he actually cares and invests in a personal relationship instead of just being a coach.
What's your favorite place on campus and why?
The library is my favorite place because it's so relaxing and such an easy place to focus and learn. I feel the most at home in the library.
Who's your favorite teacher and why?
Mrs. Lowe has to be my all-time favorite teacher because she taught in a way that really helped me understand Spanish.
What’s your favorite thing about Darlington?
Freedom
Describe an experience that you've had at Darlington that you couldn't have had anywhere else.
My first time watching Lip Sync at RUMPUS.
What are some of the ways you've grown since you first came to Darlington?
I'm more independent, calm, empathetic, outgoing, motivated sometimes, organized and optimistic.
