Let’s get to know Georgeanna, a 14-year day student from Rome who is a day leader in Thornwood House and a three-sport athlete.
When you think of Darlington, what three words come to mind first?
opportunity, friendships, success
What's your favorite show to binge watch?
”Gilmore Girls”
What's your favorite restaurant in Rome?
Mellow Mushroom
What house are you a member of?
Thornwood
What are you involved in at Darlington?
Thornwood House day leader, varsity basketball, varsity cross country, managing editor for yearbook, track and field
If you play sports, who is your favorite coach and why?
Coach Rush because she always pushes me to be the best athlete and version of myself.
What's your favorite place on campus and why?
Van Es Arena because that's where I spend most of my time and feel the most at home.
Who's your favorite teacher and why?
Mrs. Haynes because she has taught me so much and is always there for me. She knows exactly when something is wrong and always listens. She is very open to help when you are struggling and makes every question seem like a good question.
What’s your favorite thing about Darlington?
The opportunities it gives us and the friendships I have made.
Describe an experience that you've had at Darlington that you couldn't have had anywhere else.
My best friends are from four different states and boarding students.
What are some of the ways you've grown since you first came to Darlington?
Considering I've been here since kindergarten, I've grown quite a lot.
