Let’s get to know Gatlin Hancock, a seven-year day student from Rome who has signed to play football at Kennesaw State University this fall.
When you think of Darlington, what three words come to mind first?
Honor, Integrity, Family
What song reminds you of high school?
“Good Die Young” - Koe Wetzel
What's your favorite show to binge watch?
“Riverdale”
What's your favorite restaurant in Rome?
John Henry’s
What house are you a member of?
Neville
What are you involved in at Darlington?
I play football.
If you play sports, who is your favorite coach and why?
Coach Atha - He is another mentor to me and a great man to strive to be.
What's your favorite place on campus and why?
I love The Growl. It’s a place to hang out with your friends and also study as a group.
Who's your favorite teacher and why?
Mr. Leezer and Mr. Hudson. They are always ready for class and always down to crack some jokes with you.
What’s your favorite thing about Darlington?
The family environment.
Describe an experience that you've had at Darlington that you couldn't have had anywhere else.
The freedom they offer here; they trust your word until the trust is broken.
What are some of the ways you've grown since you first came to Darlington?
I've grown by letting in the past go and focusing on my future.
What is your dream job?
Lawyer or judge
