Darlington student helping McHenry make music

Since she came up with the idea in January, she has sold 120 T-shirts, which she designed with a little help from printing company Cedarstream, and sold them to raise $900 for McHenry's music program. Thanks to Thurmond, McHenry has already been able to purchase new musical instruments.
Darlington students have a long-standing relationship with their neighbors at McHenry Primary School. In 2010, the Darlington Community helped McHenry win a $25,000 grant from Pepsi to build a handicap-accessible playground. This year, the senior class project involves working with McHenry students.
