Darlington’s family tree is broad, strong, and ever-growing. Many current students have roots deep in Darlington’s soil through siblings, parents, grandparents, and even great-grandparents. For many, Darlington has become a tradition close to home that provides strength and a solid foundation.

C. R. Wilcox and E. L. Wright, served as the first and second presidents of Darlington School respectively. Today, their great-grandchildren, Claire Wilcox and Bob Ledbetter, are students in Darlington’s pre-kindergarten program. The grandchildren of former Lower School principal, Larry Muschamp, show another example of this family heritage. Jordan Muschamp has already been at Darlington for one year and is joined by his brother Robert, who is in pre-kindergarten.
