Darlington Parents Association Springs into Fund Raiser

Darlington Parents Association volunteers are active preparing for their main fundraiser, the Lakeside Gala, which will be held on Friday, April 20. Event details will be furnished shortly via a newsletter. The newsletter, which should arrive in mailboxes by January 31, will provide the first opportunity to register for the gala dinner and to purchase reverse raffle tickets and Darlington’s cookbook, “Through These Gates."
This cookbook represents the compilation of over 375 recipes from parents, alumni and friends of Darlington School. Special anecdotal asides will be featured throughout the cookbook, along with cooking tips, equivalency charts, and interesting facts and stories.
The Lakeside Gala includes a dinner with samplings from the cookbook, the reverse raffle and a limited live auction. The evening’s events will start at 6 p.m. immediately following the Fine Arts Festival, with student entertainment provided, special reserved seating available for dinner, a chance to win $5,000 in the reverse raffle, and an opportunity to bid on parking spaces, time-shares, trips to Mexico, New Orleans and much more.
