Darlington is offering a variety of camps for tiny tots to teenagers and every age in between this summer.

Camp Delightascope, July 9- July 27, for children ages 2 to 8, will provide learning opportunities in a fun environment. The camp, directed by Patricia Ayer, Lower School faculty member, is divided into three week-long sessions, each with its own theme. The camp is staffed by experienced Lower School teachers and teachers’ aides. Many Upper School students serve as counselors. Delightascope runs from 9 a.m. to noon, Monday through Friday. For more information, contact Ayer at 706-291-2522 or payer@darlingtonschool.org.

Camp Darlington, June 18 – July 27, directed by Lower School physical education instructor Doug Moon, offers boys and girls, ages 8 – 13, the thrills of swimming, shooting, hitting, throwing, kicking, paddling, tagging, ducking, dodging, and running — all throughout the trails, at Silver Lake, and on the playing fields. The camp runs from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m., Mondays through Fridays. For more information, contact the Lower School at 706-291-2522, or Director of Summer Programs Kevin Purpura at kpupura@darlingtonschool.org or 706-236-0498.

Darlington also offers the following athletic camps: boys basketball, June 4-8; girls basketball and football kicking and receiving camp, June 11-15; and volleyball, July 31-Aug. 3. Each camp focuses on skills, team play, and fundamental skill building. These athletic camps are open to rising ninth through twelfth graders except for the volleyball camp which also offers a session to middle school age students. For information on any summer camp contact Purpura.
