Darlington Connects: Georgia (Harris) Wooller ('02)

We're excited to connect with our alumni through our new Darlington Connects series. Today we hear from Georgia Harris Wooller ('02), co-founder of South of Dearing.

During the Class of 2002 of Zoom party, we discovered a creative small business owned by Georgia Harris Wooller (’02).

In 2019, Georgia and her friend, Josey Crider, started their business South of Dearing. They specialize in hand-gilded oyster shell gifts, from ring dishes and holiday ornaments to canvases and napkin rings. What Georgia loves most about their business has been the ability to connect (or reconnect!) with people and to help them find the perfect gift or conversation piece for their own home.

Georgia credits Darlington for teaching her the power of community and connection with others. "We wouldn’t have gotten started if it wasn’t for the support of our friends and family, many of whom are also Darlington alums!” she said.
