Cordle named to All-Area Softball Team

Darlington senior Megan Cordle was named to the Rome News-Tribune's 2005 All-Area Softball Team this fall. The talent-packed, 22-player squad has 19 upperclassmen and features at least one representative from every Greater Rome school.
Despite having surgeries on both legs prior the season, Cordle batted .382 and led the Lady Tigers in RBIs. The senior shortstop was a four-year starter and a three-time All-Area pick. She is the daughter of Teresa Cordle and Robert Cordle, both of Silver Creek, Ga.
