Copeland receives Merit Scholarship

Alex Copeland of Soddy Daisy, Tenn., has been selected as the winner of a corporate-sponsored Merit Scholarship award. He will receive the National Merit James E. Casey Scholarship, sponsored by The UPS Foundation. Copeland is receiving one of about 8,200 Merit Scholarship awards, narrowed down from a group of 15,000 distinguished finalists. At Darlington, he has been active in Habitat for Humanity, football, wrestling, lacrosse and joined a service project in Peru with boarding students from the Baylor School in Chattanooga. He is the son of LuLu and Robert Copeland of Soddy Daisy, Tenn.
