College scholarships through Jan. 6

The following college scholarships were reported to the College Guidance Office between Dec. 2 and Jan. 6:

Savannah Dempsey earned a $3,000 Savannah Georgia College Dean Merit Scholarship. She is the daughter of Dr. Suzanne Fischer of Rome, Ga. and Dr. Jack Dempsey.

Lyons Nida earned a $68,000 Loyola University New Orleans Dean's Scholarship. He is the son of Erin and John Nida of Rome, Ga.
