College scholarships through Feb. 1

The College Guidance Office announces the following college scholarships reported Dec. 5 to Feb. 1:

Morgan Birdsong earned a $30,000 Academic Scholarship from Berry College. She is the daughter of Chris and Jimmy Birdsong of Rome.

Sarah Clements earned an $18,000 Presidential Scholarship from Elon University, $64,000 in funding from The University of the South, and $60,000 from Rollins College. Additionally, she is a finalist in Sewanee's merit scholarship competition (up to a possible $168,000) and a finalist for Rollins' Cornell Scholarship (up to a possible $180,000) and Donald J. Cram Scholarship (up to $60,000). She is the daughter of Alice and Frank Clements of Rome.

Kent Hubbard earned an $8,000 Academic Excellence Scholarship from the University of Mississippi. He is the son of William Hubbard of Atlanta and Joan Hubbard, also of Atlanta.

Clint Monteith earned a $20,000 Sewanee Presidents' Award from The University of the South. He is the son of Libby and David Monteith of Rome.

Christina Rutledge earned a $48,000 University Scholarship from Mercer University. She is the daughter of Carol and Ralph Rutledge of Rome.

Jennifer Watford earned a $5,000 Academic Excellence Scholarship from The University of Mississippi and a $28,000 Faculty Scholarship from Young Harris College. She is the daughter of Donna and John Watford of Cedartown, Ga.

Landon Watters earned a $5,000 Academic Excellence Scholarship from The University of Mississippi. She is the daughter of Judy and Bill Watters of Rome.

Brooke Wilkins earned a $48,000 University Scholarship from Mercer University. She is the daughter of Brian Wilkins of Rome and Julie Ackerman of Woodstock, Ga.
